The rumors that floated around the Internet on Wednesday were merely a day early.
Winger Tyler Barnes said tonight that he gave Wisconsin coaches a verbal commitment to join the Badgers, likely in the fall of 2009. The 17-year-old senior at Burnsville (Minn.) High School said he's planning to play next season with Waterloo, the USHL team that picked him in the Futures Draft on Wednesday.
