Player's progress makes smiling a little easier

FARIBAULT - Faribault hockey coach Josh Solem confessed that on Thursday afternoon, he smiled for the first time in nearly 48 hours.
He had just returned from St. Marys Hospital in Rochester after visiting Alex Larson, the Faribault hockey player whose heart stopped beating briefly Tuesday in the closing minutes of the Falcons game against Winona.
Solem spent more than 90 minutes with the fallen player Thursday, and the coach saw what he said he needed to see: a smile on Larson's face.
