White Bear Lake's boys' hockey team lost some of its top players from last year, but this year's squad is using a balanced approach to succeed.
The White Bear Lake boys' hockey team began this week with the third-best record in the Suburban East Conference, a 9-3 mark coaches and players are taking in stride, but one an outsider might give a second look.
After all, these are the same Bears who lost 82 percent of last season's goal scoring to graduation, early departures and dismissals, right? Yet here they are, riding a 7-1 surge into the final two weeks of the regular season.
