Minnesota high school hockey: 25 game maximum with one exception

As you check out some of the schedules, you will notice that a majority of teams have 25 games scheduled. 25 regular season games is the maximum amount allowed by the Minnesota State High School League. However, you may notice a few teams have 26 games scheduled. The MSHSL allows 26 games IF the extra game is scheduled with a brand new team starting up in that sport in its inaugural year. This year, Meadow Creek Christian was added. Any team that adds Meadow Creek Christian to their schedule is allowed a total of 26 regular season games.
