WEST ST. PAUL, MN - The Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network announces today that an extensive package of Roseau Rams and Warroad Warriors hockey will be streamed live on MSBN’s website, www.mnsportsnetwork.com.
The package will include a total of 25 Roseau Rams hockey games (20 boys, five girls), and a package of 20 Warroad Warrior hockey games (16 boys, four girls). Fans can tune into game free of charge, and can also go back and listen to archives of the games, again free of charge.
The two Northwest Minnesota schools are among the most well-known high school hockey towns in the United States, and are known for their successful teams. The Roseau boys’ hockey team holds the state record for most state tournament appearances by a single hockey team, with 32 appearances, along with 7 state championships. Meanwhile, the Roseau girls’ hockey team made their first-ever state tournament appearance in 2008. Both teams finished third place in the Minnesota state football tournament last winter.
The Warroad Warrior boys’ hockey team, meanwhile, has 19 state tournament appearances, including four state championships. They appeared in the 2008 state tournament, finishing in third place. The Warroad girls’ hockey team has made one state tournament appearance, finishing runner-up in 2006.
The Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network will be streaming feeds from both KRWB-AM and KKWQ-AM, both out of Warroad. This is the second year that MSBN will have an agreement to stream Roseau and Warroad hockey, as MSBN agreed to a similar partnership last season as well. Roseau Rams hockey on the Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network is presented by Border Broadcasting, while Warroad Warriors hockey is presented by the Warroad Black and Gold Club.
