Wow, what a game | Hermantown defeats Duluth Marshall 4-3

I was not at the game but I saw it on Fox Sports North and it was your typical rivalry game for the two schools that are just seven miles apart from one another. It was nail-biting drama right to the very the end.

With less than 30 seconds to go, Hermantown senior goaltender Ben Tessier starred down a one-on-goalie opportunity for the Hilltoppers that was coming his way. Tessier didn't bite as the Topper player faked and juked his way coming from Tessier's left side. He stopped him cold. When the horn sounded, the Hermantown Hawks came away with a 4-3 win.

Connor Hady scored the game-winning goal with 8:36 left in the game. Charlie Comnick, Branden Perrault, and Brian LeBlanc also scored for the winners. Dane Morin, Tom Paine, and Pat Mahoney scored goals for Duluth Marshall.

Adam Krause finished with only two assists in the game but he looked dominant on the ice. Krause and the Hawks made Duluth Marshall goaltender Willie Paul contort in several different ways. I even think I saw Paul spin on his head, breakdancing, while blocking and catching 40 of Hermantown's 44 shots at him. There were weird bounces, clanks off the posts, and endless scrambles in front of the net. It was probably the best game I've seen, at least on TV, this year.

Here are two pictures from the game from Tessier Photography:
