Prediction:
Offense: Cretin-Derham Hall | It's not so much that the Raiders have a stellar offense but rather the lack of offense that the Eagle possess.
Defense: Even | Both teams have shutout four opponents each. Both have the potential to shut teams down but they also tend to give up goals more often than not.
Goaltending: Apple Valley | Sophomore Aaron Gretz has played very well despite the lack of offensive support during the season.
Apple Valley shocked and shutout #1-seed Woodbury in the semifinal. It's going to take another shocker from the Eagles to get them to the X. I really like the talented youth on this team. If they can get Apple Valley sophomore goaltender Aaron Gretz to shut the door on the Raiders, hold them to two or less goals, and if they can find at least three goals from freshman, yes, freshman A.J. Michaelson, junior Chris Fischer, and senior Colton Warner, the Eagles might have a shot. However, the pressure may too much for the young Eagles.
The Raiders have some youth too in the talented sophomores Bob Kinne and Tony Barbato but they are surrounded by seniors in Bob McClellan, Mychal Bangs, Tommy Zimmerman, and goaltender Ben Walsh.
Cretin-Derham Hall 4, Apple Valley 1
