How they got here:

Moorhead defeated #8-seed River Lakes 8-0, #4-seed Buffalo 4-0
Roseau defeated #7-seed Monticello/A/ML 10-0, #3-seed St. Cloud Tech 3-2 OT

Records away from home ice:

Moorhead: 4-8-2
Roseau: 5-6-3

Prediction:

Offense: Roseau | Nick Oliver is back in the lineup for Roseau and he did not play in either game against Moorhead during the regular season. In 10 games this season, including playoffs, he has 5 goals and 11 assists. Moorhead's balanced scoring could be a difference maker if the Spuds can slow down the Rams top line but the Spuds will need to score more than three goals to win.

Defense: Moorhead | Moorhead has six shutouts this season including two in the first two rounds of the playoffs. They have shutout Alexandria, Buffalo twice, Roseau, Brainerd, and River Lakes. In comparison, Roseau has five shutouts this season (including one in the playoffs) against three Class A teams (Northfield, Bemidji, Crookston), St. Cloud Tech, and Monticello. The Spuds will need to hold the Rams to less than four goals if they are to have a chance at winnning this game.

Goaltenders: Even | If top goaltenders Logan Marks and Ethan Kvidt are in goal on Wednesday night, it will be the first time they have faced each other this season. Marks played in game one for Moorhead while Kvidt played in game two Roseau. Two different goaltenders were protecting the net for Roseau in game one and Michael Blitzer was in goal for Moorhead in game two. Both goalies have comparable stats to one another.

As South St. Paul will attest, it's hard to beat a team of equal talent three straight games in one season.

Roseau 4, Moorhead 3 (multiple overtimes are not out of the question)
