Upper Midwest Elite League Scoreboard | Sunday, October 4th

www.hselitehockey.com

Great Plains 8, Southwest 3 |Box|
GP: Kevin Erickson (Roseau) 4 goals
GP: Brock Nelson (Warroad) 2 goals (1 ppg)
GP: Shane Omdahl (Roseau) 1 goal, 2 assists, Brett Hebel (Warroad) 1 goal
GP: Braden Rahman (Moorhead) 4 assists, Adam Knochenmus (Roseau) 3 assists
SW: Chad Hennum (Elk River) 1 goal
SW: Charlie Taft (Edina) 1 pp goal, Mike Morin (Breck School) 1 pp goal
GP: Alex Fons (Hopkins) 38 saves on 41 shots
SW: Jacob Meyers (Benilde-St. Margaret's) 51 saves on 55 shots
Note: Per Pointstreak.com, Alex Fons, who has been playing for Southwest this year in the league, was listed as the goaltender for Great Plains AGAINST Southwest. If true, he beat his own team.

Logan Marks
(Moorhead), was in goal for Great Plains on Saturday against North and Shattuck-St. Mary's but he received a game misconduct for fighting at the end of the North game. When a misconduct is received, a player would normally not be able to play in the next game. From the looks of it, the other regular goaltender for Great Plains, Zane Gothberg (Thief River Falls) was not available this weekend so Alex Fons had to play for Great Plains or there would not have been a game.
