Benilde-St. Margaret’s (6AA) at Hill-Murray (4AA), 8PM | Aldrich Arena | ON FSN!
:: Note: The Young Red Knights vs. Pioneer Pride, #5AA vs. #4AA, are on TV tonight. The Pioneers D-men and Tim Shaughnessy will need to slow the Red Knights down. The Red Knights scored nine goals against a Phil Housley defense-focused Stillwater team last Friday night. On paper, Benilde-St. Margaret's may be too much for Hill-Murray to stop. Yet, Hill-Murray Coach Bill Lechner teams are usually defensively strong. They did not allow an opponent more than five goals last season. Both teams played to a 3-2 overtime game in Benilde-St. Margaret's favor last year on the Red Knights home ice at the St. Louis Park Recreation Center. This should be a very good game to watch tonight.
Key Players:
Benilde-St. Margaret's: F Grant Besse (9), F Christian Horn (10), F Patrick Steinhauser (11), F Brett Patterson (12), G Jacob Meyers (12)
Hill-Murray: F Willie Faust (12), F Jack Walsh (12), D Chris Casto (12), D Jordan Johnson (12), D J. D. Cotroneo (11), G Tim Shaughnessy (11)

#15AA Osseo (5AA) at #9AA Wayzata (6AA), 7PM | Plymouth Ice Center
:: Note: This is my third best game of the day. I am interested to see how good Osseo really is this year. They have the excellent potential to move ahead of Centennial and Maple Grove as the team that will challenge Blaine for the Section 5AA title this year. Osseo and Blaine will face each other on Thursday. But first, Osseo needs to beat a very good team in Wayzata. Wayzata is 4-0-0 and they have defeated three tough opponents already this season, including Centennial 4-2.

#2A St. Thomas Academy (4A) at #1A Breck School (4A), 7:30PM | Anderson Ice Arena
:: Note: Too bad FSN couldn't have made it a doubleheader tonight. This is probably a better matchup than even Benilde-St. Margaret's and Hill-Murray. Both teams should make it the Xcel Energy Center next March. Both should have made it last year but Mahtomedi and the rest of us know that upsets do happen. Breck School has more depth returning but St. Thomas Academy arguably has the best first line in the state in Class A.
This is the first game of the season for St. Thomas Academy so they may have to shake off a little game-time rust. Breck School is 2-0-0 outscoring their opponents 15-4 in those two games.
Key Players:
St. Thomas Academy: F Zach Schroeder (11), F Christian Isackson (12), F A. J Reid (11), F Justin Crandall (12), D J. P. Graveline (12), F Noah Gavin (12), G Kurt Altrichter (12)
Breck School: F Tyson Fulton (12), F Riley Borer (12), F Charlie Borer (12), F Mike Morin (12), F Chase Nystedt (12), D Ben Gislason (12), F Cameron Born (12), G John Russell (12) and on and on.
