Today's championship will be the fourth meeting between these two teams this season.

Minnetonka won the first meeting 3-2 in the Schwan Cup Gold Division championship game on the first day of 2010. In game two, Minnetonka won at home, Pagel Activity Center, 7-1 on January 23rd. In game three, Minnetonka was up 4-0 in the first period at Braemar Arena. Edina cameback with five unanswered goals, including the game-winner in overtime. Edina won 5-4.

Minnetonka may be a little tired after their four-overtime battle with Hill-Murray. Edina may think the Skippers are worn down. However, in 1996, I was at the Apple Valley vs. Duluth East five-overtime marathon semifinal game that lasted until 1:39 AM. Apple Valley won 5-4. The next night, Apple Valley defeated Edina 3-2 for the 1996 state title. The same fate may await for the 2010 Edina Hornets as Minnetonka attempts to win their first ever high school hockey state championship.

PREDICTION: Minnetonka 4, Edina 2
