Here are you 2009-2010 state tournament qualifiers

Sometime Saturday morning, the MSHSL and the coaches of the teams that made the tourney will decide on the top four teams in each Class and then seed (rank) them one through four. Then, the non-seeded teams will draw to see which of the four seeded teams they will play in the quarterfinals next week.

I believe Class AA's top four teams will be Minnetonka, Hill-Murray, Edina, and Blaine. That means Lakeville North, Apple Valley, Duluth East, and Roseau will draw to see who they will face in the quarterfinals starting Thursday, March 11th.

Class AA

Section 1AA: Lakeville North (11-15-2)
Section 2AA: Edina (20-6-2)
Section 3AA: Apple Valley (17-11-0)
Section 4AA: Hill-Murray (25-2-1)
Section 5AA: Blaine (21-4-3)
Section 6AA: Minnetonka (25-1-2)
Section 7AA: Duluth East (19-5-4)
Section 8AA: Roseau (22-5-1)

For Class A, Breck School, Hermantown, Mahtomedi, and Warroad should be the top four seeded teams. Rochester Lourdes, New Ulm, Alexandria, and Virginia/MIB will most likely have to draw to find out who they will face in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 10th.

Class A

Section 1A: Rochester Lourdes (17-8-3)
Section 2A: Breck School (26-2-0)
Section 3A: New Ulm (15-10-1)
Section 4A: Mahtomedi (23-5-0)
Section 5A: Hermantown (25-3-0)
Section 6A: Alexandria (21-6-1)
Section 7A: Virginia/MIB (18-7-3)
Sectoin 8A: Warroad (24-4-0)
