Kyle Rau, a junior forward for Eden Prairie, made a verbal commitment to play for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. He should be able to play for the Gophers the following Fall after he graduates from Eden Prairie in May of 2011. He most likely will not need to play a year of junior hockey.
Tony Larson, a senior defenseman at Blaine, has decided to join his Bengals teammate, Eric Scheid, by making a verbal commitment to play at the University of Alaska-Anchorage. Scheid also made a verbal commitment this week to play there.
