It's football season but here comes hockey

- The Minnesota Junior Hockey League starts tonight with one game at the Maple Grove Community Center, Edina Lakers vs. the Minnesota Wildcats. I should have all of their rosters up on the site this weekend.

- The Upper Midwest High School Elite League begins its first full weekend after two games on Tuesday. All Elite League games are at the New Hope Arena in New Hope, MN.

- The North American Hockey League (NAHL) begins their season this weekend with a few games scheduled but next week the NAHL Showcase will be at the Schwan's Super Rinks in Blaine, MN. All 26 teams will be represented. Many good players from last year's and previous years Minnesota high school teams will be there. Alexandria and Coulee Region have the most Minnesotans on their teams. If you like hockey, spend the 15th, 16th, 17th, AND 18th in Blaine.
