I will have to catch up on things. I have a normal 40-hours-per-week job (one that I did not have last year) plus I work for the USHL Sioux Falls Stampede part-time. I work on this site when I can. I would prefer to work on the site full-time plus.
Because I was not sure how I was going to be able to handle working on the site with a full-time job and adding other leagues to the site, I am going to have to refocus on what I am doing.
- I am going to try and continue to update the WCHA and MIAC as regularly as possible. My focus is on Minnesota high school hockey and anything after that is a bonus.
- I am pulling the scoreboards off the site for the USHL & NAHL but I will try to continue to do their weekly scorers, goaltending leaders along with their rankings for teams and defensemen and update each schedule, at least for now.
- I still have about 30 or so Class A schedules to get entered. They will be done on my days off this week somewhere between Monday night and Wednesday.
My two days off are in the middle of the week so a lot will get done on Monday nights, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. I also have Sundays off and, normally, I'll get a lot done then too. I will always have scoring updates posted on Twitter each night as long as I do not have a Stampede game or other function to go to.
I will normally have new rankings and stats up Monday night or Tuesday during the day. They are subject to change each week.
I am ONE guy. I do not have a database nor do I have a small army of hired help or partners like the other websites. ALL of what you see on the site has been entered manually by ONE guy. I like what I do. Any 'normal' person would have stopped doing this awhile ago. It is difficult for me to stop. I'm not trying to compete with the other guys. I'm trying to do something that is different from the others and, from the response I get, many of you enjoy it as much as I do. Because of that support, I'll do my best to keep this site up as often as I can.
If you like what I do, I would appreciate your support. The more support, the faster I can quit the 'temporary' full-time job and work on the site full-time so it is up-to-date, up-to-the-minute all of the time.
Thank you.
