2011 USHL Futures Draft

The 2011 USHL Futures Draft was held on Tuesday, April 19th. This draft is the selection of players that have or will turn 16 years old in 2011 (born in 1995). This draft consists of six rounds.

This does not mean that these players will necessarily play in the USHL next season. They have the option to do so with being drafted. The USHL teams will hold the rights to these players for three years. The FAQ for the Futures Draft can be found on the USHL website.

Here are the Minnesota high school/bantam players that were selected in the 2011 Futures Draft:

Tyler Sheehy (F) - Burnsville 2010-2011 Bantams Selected by Waterloo: Third Round - 30th overall

Blake Heinrich (LD) - Hill-Murray 6'0", 175 lbs | 28 gms, 4g, 16a, 20 points Selected by Sioux City: Third Round - 34th overall

Vinni Lettieri (F) - Minnetonka 5'9", 150 lbs | 27 gms, 17g, 23a, 40 points Selected by Lincoln: Third Round - 42nd overall

Karson Kuhlman (C) - Cloquet/Esko/Carlton 5'9", 145 lbs | 27 gms, 17g, 35a, 42 points Selected by Dubuque: Fourth Round - 48th overall

Dan Labosky (LW) - Benilde-St. Margaret's 5'6", 145 lbs | 27 gms, 10g, 33a, 43 points Selected by Tri-City: Fourth Round - 53rd overall
