St. Louis Park, MN -- The Holiday Classic tournament enters its third year and the tournament just keeps getting better.
With seven of the eight teams participating being ranked in the top 20 in the state the level of competition makes this tournament a must see for all high school hockey fans and scouts. “The last two years have brought over 125 coaches and scouts from WCHA,CCHA and USHL as well as the United States Developmental program and the NHL” said tournament director and founder John Barger, whom is no stranger to high school hockey or to St. Louis Park. Barger coached for 7 years at St Louis Park High School prior to taking the job as head coach of Burnsville. “St Louis Park has been such a great venue! The staff at the arena has been extremely helpful and the community has really embraced the tournament. The location is perfect for all the teams who are playing as St Louis Park is very centrally located.”
This year’s tournament will feature both JV and Varsity as it has the pass two years.

Coach’s quotes
“We always look forward to this tournament. The depth of the field of teams is second to none. The first half of BSM's schedule is as tough as any team's in the state and this tournament is a big reason why.”- Benilde-St. Margaret Head Coach Ken Pauly
“This tournament is always a good place to gage where your team is at. If you are able to at least win two out of three games it really makes a strong statement that you have a team that will be major factor in the high school hockey scene down the stretch.” - Benilde-St. Margaret's Head Coach Ken Pauly
