Powerplays: Eden Prairie 1-3 | Blaine 1-2

Notes:

When Eden Prairie went down 2-0, a switch turned on and the game completely turned around. Blaine barely generated any offense after Clayton Wagamon's goal and the Eden Prairie offense AND defense relentless. The Eagles scored four unanswered goals on their way to the 4-2 win. The score could have been much worse but goaltender Danny Harper kept the Bengals in the game.

The Eagles looked much better in Friday's game than Thursday's against Hill-Murray. Nick Leddy looked like Mr. Hockey tonight and Kyle Rau (10), Taylor Wolfe (12), Mitch Rogge (11), Curt Rau (10), and Joe McQuillan (12) all had three or more shots on goal. Eden Prairie is going to be very good for a few years to come.

Nick Bjugstad and goaltender Danny Harper was the only bright spot for Blaine.

I will look forward to an Eden Prairie vs. Moorhead matchup IF Moorhead plays Cretin-Derham Hall as well as they played Edina.
