Colorado College 1, Minnesota State University-Mankato 0 OT
Colorado College's Joe Howe (Wayzata) out-dueled MSU-Mankato's Austin Lee (Bloomington Jefferson) in the nets on Friday night. Howe stopped all 31 Maverick shots. Lee stopped 26 shots but gave up the only goal of the game at 4:08 into overtime. It was a powerplay goal.
From Joe Howe: "It was a good win for our team last night, thought we played pretty well and Austin made some key saves to keep us off the board early. You could kind of tell it would be one of those games where a bounce or a PP goal would decide it. Our defense in front of me played solid similar to the rest of the year, and it was nice to make a few saves to get one for the guys because they have played so well in front of me all year long."
