IN THE NEWS: Edina Hornets - Alumni

The story below is about Tom Carlsen who used to play for Edina in the 60's and the University of Minnesota in the early 70's. It is a very good story about Carlsen's life from athlete to sports doctor. He currently lives in Bend, Oregon and is set to retire. At the end of the article, he describes how, if he had his way, would be spending his days playing pick-up hockey, outdoors, in Minnesota. It shows a photo of Doctor Carlsen and some of his sports memorabilia around him.

Blues rookie Erik Johnson (Holy Angels) answers emails

ESPN.com's John Buccigross took email questions for former Academy of Holy Angels', former Minnesota Gopher, and now St. Louis Blues rookie Erik Johnson. It includes one from his Biology teacher at Holy Angels. I thought the questions and answers were funny and just plain great. I think I've become an instant Erik Johnson fan simply because he grew up cheering for Pavel Bure, a personal favorite of my own.

The questions and answers are here at ESPN.com, halfway down the page.
