Team Goals:

“The 2007-08 Blake Bears Boy’s Hockey Team begins the season dedicated to forging its identity as a hard working, tenacious hockey team. The Bears project a balanced attack from seniors, juniors, and underclassmen. Their team goals are to become the best team they can be, and to win Tri-Metro, Section 2A, and MSHSL Championships. Coming off back-to-back state tournament appearances, returning players realize the consistent work ethic required to achieve team goals, and the importance of teamwork, enthusiasm, selflessness, and fun to build a hockey team.

The 2006-07 Blake Bears graduated 54 (49.5%) of its 109 goals scored. The 2007-08 Bears will look for balanced scoring created by team speed, skill, tenacity and depth. While the Bears graduated 8 lettermen, returning lettermen include eight forwards, four defensemen, and one goaltender. These players have played in one or two state tournaments, and realize the sacrifices necessary to achieve team success. Senior leadership will come from Captain and three-year letterman Jack Barnes (F, 06-07: 13G,23A=36Pts, 29Gms), Assistant Captain and two-year letterman Blake Dressen (D, 06-07: 6G,3A=9Pts, 29Gms), and Assistant Captain and three-year letterman Jordan Seivold (F, 06-07: 11G,17A=28Pts, 30Gms).”
