New Varsity Players to Watch:

“We have some Bantams that are moving up that will be fighting for some spots, but nobody that is going to probably make an immediate impact.”

Team Goals:

“A realistic goal for us would be to be .500, be in the top three in our conference, and just continue to get better every game.”

Coach's Comments:

"We look to fill the spot for the top two goal scorers who graduated last season. We will be fairly young up front, but we do return juniors Tommy Kessler and Brandon Varness who were among the top 5 scorers on our team last year. We also have seniors Grant Kinnamon and Kyle Paulson with lots of varisty experience. We will be relying on these two for leadership and their experience to lead our forwards this season. We are also excited by the work ethic and skill of some of our sophomore forwards who have moved up from Bantams. Sam Boisner, Brandon Barr, Dan Coquyt, and Brandon Smith have all had good starts to their seasons.

We have 3 defensemen returning, Ryan McCoy, Craig Flaherty, and Caleb Hensel, and we expect them to lead the way as we begin the season. Junior defensemen Cory Erickson and John VanDrasek will be relied upon heavily this season. We also are looking for one of our underclassmen goalies to step forward and earn the starting spot. Dusty Thelen is the only goalie returning with any varsity experience. We have 4 quality goalies that will compete for this spot.

Overall, the coaching staff is very excited for the upcoming season. The majority our players skated last spring, all summer, and this fall. They also put in a lot of time in the weight room and dryland training. The players have put a lot of time and effort into becoming better players and a better team. It should lead to an exciting season. "
