Three freshmen lead their respective top 20 ranked teams in scoring goals:
Grant Besse - Benilde-St. Margarets
Hudson Fasching - Apple Valley
Jake Horton - Tartan
Max Coatta of Minnetonka is 2nd in goals on his team trailing Max Gardiner by just one goal. With Gardiner out due to a broken wrist, Coatta is most likely to take over the Skippers team lead.
Hopping on Harper's back...
Junior Nick Bjugstad is normally the first name a high school hockey fan thinks of when Blaine is mentioned. But, Dan Harper can be given as much if not more for the Blaine Bengals 7-3-0 record and ranking of fifth this week. For a team that is giving up 28.5 shots per game and still have a winning record, Harper's performance in goal has been stellar so far this season. Oh, yeah, the Bengals are pretty good at scoring goals too.
