Game notes:
Brock Nelson had a beautiful shorthanded goal in the first period. He shelfed a slap shot on Swenson's stick side.
Jake Mack makes it 2-0 Warroad from out front of the net with heavy traffic all around. I don't think Swenson even saw it.
Hutchinson's Zak Swenson has been keeping the Tigers in the game so far. Hutchinson only has one shot on goal so far and we are four minutes gone in the second period.
Hutchinson scores! Nice play from Logan Hahn from the boards throwing the puck out front to Riley Bengston for the one-timer.
Look out! The flood gates have opened. Just as Brett Hebel scores a powerplay goal set up by Brock Nelson beating Swenson short side, stick side, Brock Nelson scores nine seconds later in open shot at the front of the net.
The third period has now started. Hutchinson needs to get some pucks on the net to get some confidence.
Hutchinson just committed an interference penalty within the first minute of the third period. Not a good start.
Brock Nelson scores on the powerplay and gets the hat trick.
Defenseman Joey Olson gets a goal for Warroad! That is his first of the year. He shot it from the blue line. It was deflected out front by a Hutchinson player.
Jake Mack gets his second goal of the game, fourth goal of the year. Per the commentators on television, Jake Mack was a goaltender until his sophomore year. He decided that he was not going to get any playing time so he decided to become a forward.
The game went pretty much as expected. The Warriors dominate allowing just five shots on goal. Brock Nelson was the player of the game.
End of the game.
